POSTECH INTERNATIONAL UNDERGRADUATE
  • Yes. Any documents requiring Apostille or consular authentication must be submitted in their original form by post and must arrive at the Admissions Office by the application deadline.

If the original documents (e.g., official transcript, official graduation certificate/diploma) cannot be re-issued due to school or national policy, applicants should consult both the issuing institution (e.g., high school) and the relevant consular or apostille authority to determine whether an alternative document of equivalent validity—such as a certified copy issued by the school—can be issued and authenticated.

Additionally, if the documents are not in English, a notarized translation will be required.

Please note that in all cases, Apostilled or consular-authenticated documents must be submitted in their original form.

Requests to obtain and submit Apostilled or consular-authenticated documents only after receiving an acceptance letter, or to submit them online before acceptance and send the originals by post afterward, are not permitted.

  • Yes, a list of documents that must be submitted by postal mail can be found in the checklist forms for each application track. https://adm-iu.postech.ac.kr/user/admission/guide/international.do

These documents must be physically mailed and received by the Admissions Office before the application deadline.

Postal submission is mandatory as part of the standard application process and must be completed regardless of online application status. Completion of the online application does not replace the requirement to submit these documents by post.

Any documents requiring Apostille or consular authentication must be submitted in their original form. Please note that submission of Apostilled or consular-authenticated original documents after receiving an acceptance letter is not allowed.

    ------------------------------------------

An application will be considered complete and valid for evaluation only if all of the following are fulfilled within the application period:

    1. Submission of original hard-copy documents specifically required by post

    2. Submission of the score report of English Language Proficiency Test (or exemption with supporting documents)

    3. Direct submission of recommendation letters by recommenders via email to postech-iuadmission@postech.ac.kr (applicants should provide recommenders with the required form)

    4. Completion of the online application and payment of the application fee online

       * Please note that any documents submitted will not be returned, even if the applicant later chooses not to complete the entire application process.

  • The registrar’s section of the form is not required at this stage, and the applicant is not required to contact the school registrar to have this section completed before submission.

At the time of application, only the student’s education record section should be completed, with the registrar’s contact information (direct phone number or email address) clearly provided.

The Admissions Office may contact the registrar directly during the evaluation stage for verification if necessary.

  • As education systems differ across countries, applicants who have studied under a two-year high school system (Grades 11 and 12 only) may also apply to POSTECH, provided that they fulfill the eligibility requirements for their admissions track.

In this case, please submit the official transcripts from recent 3 years of study (final year at secondary school and two years at high school) with apostille or Korea consular authentication.

The applicant can submit the supplementary materials from recent 3 years of study as well.

    * Applicants who have completed an 11-year education system are advised to contact the Admissions Office for further guidance.

    • Eligibility and Application Track
Applicants are advised to carefully review the eligibility requirements and application steps, and apply through the appropriate track. Please note that it is not permitted to apply to both Track I and Track II simultaneously.

    운영자  /  2025.08.21

To attract outstanding international students, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Education annually evaluate and certify universities with high internationalization capabilities. Certified universities benefit from relaxed visa screening criteria for international students and additional allowances for part-time work hours during weekdays.
Especially among certified universities, 18 institutions with particularly excellent internationalization capabilities are selected as Excellent Accredited Universities.
We are proud to inform you that POSTECH is not only an IEQAS-certified University, but also an Excellent Accredited University.
